Waabooyaan is the Anishinaabe word for blanket.
For both children and adults, a blanket represents warmth, comfort and home. For us, and we hope for you, Waabooyaan represents part of the journey onto our next home; Waabooyaan is the name we have chosen for our traditional Anishinaabe burial wraps. Founded on the principle of honour, we chose to create a burial wrap that represents all First Nations. Our burial wraps are all handcrafted and can be customized to further honour an individual.
